Pauline West

Written by Pauline West, who loves boxing, hiking, bourbon and stray cats. Discovery is her first comic book. She’s written two more stories for After Ice: Phyrnos and After Ice: Wandering Starless, as well as the interactive graphic novel, Astra, which you can read here She is also working on her first novel, Ridiculous Kinky.

Francisco Maldonado

Francisco Maldondo

Pencils and Lettering by the widely accomplished Francisco Maldonado, who has written and published several comics for indie mags, including El arca de las historietas and Wereminds. He is a freelance illustrator for several companies in both the USA and the UK, and in July 2012 will be publishing his first graphic novel, Nemeldren (Ediciones Babylon), which he both wrote and illustrated. He currently teaches adult education in Madrid. Although he visited London for two months in 2005, he didn’t make any British friends.

Oscar Bardo

Inks by the singular Oscar Blanco, “El Bardo”, who has drawn and coloured everything from fantasy illustrations for Leyendas de Lacenor and La maldicion de Hilena to the album cover for Torrent. He has been featured in Descubriendo nuevos mundos, Spain is Different, and Imaginarios, but “After Ice” is his favourite project so far. He enjoys Miyazaki films and sleeping under his favourite tree in the woods near his house.
